Heritage
Day at Blandwood -- Sunday, June 29, 2008 1-6pm |
Step
back in time to the nineteenth century on the lawn at Blandwood
Mansion, home of John Motley Morehead, former Governor of North
Carolina, 1841-45. Enjoy free tours of the Mansion and peruse
the heritage crafts and demonstrations. The Frontlawn Stage
at Blandwood and the Carriage House Stage
will feature Bluegrass, Traditional, and Americana Music. The
Headliner for the day will be the Carolina Chocolate Drops!
REVOLUTIONARY
WAR RE-ENACTORS The
side yard at Blandwood will harken back to days of the Revolution
with a historical reenactment encampment. The 2nd
Regiment of the North Carolina Continental Line will drill and
answer questions. |
