Over 1,800,000 people since 1975
Economic Impact: Over $1,000,000 annually
from visitors to Guilford County for Fun Fourth events through expenditures
on food, lodging, transportation, shopping, souvenirs, etc.
Community Involvement; Over 1,200 volunteers and 25 business and civic organizations
donate approximately 15,000 hours to stage the festival. Over 100 businesses
and organizations donate $140,000 in cash and over $250,000 of in-kind assistance;
10% of support is donated by the
City of Greensboro and Guilford County.

Grassroots
Productions Limited is a Greensboro, NC non-profit corporation focusing
on charitable and educational activities which foster interest in local
history and events in Guilford County.
Grassroots Productions produces two holiday festivals annually -- Fun
Fourth Festival, celebrating our nation's independence in July and Festival
of Lights, a winter festival on the first weekend of December.
Grassroots Productions Limited's Downtown Banner Program is responsible
for all banners and holiday decorations in Greensboro's downtown.
Grassroots Productions Limited also provides technical, logistical and
administrative support to other organizations and events such as Action
Greensboro for Get
Down!Town, NCA&T
Alumni Association for NCA&T Homecoming Pavilion, the Greensboro
Bicentennial Commission for the Greensboro Bicentennial, the Greensboro
Coliseum for Tournament Town Goes Downtown and Greensboro
Ballet.
Grassroots Productions is Action Greensboro's Special Event Manager for Center
City Park and is responsible for all things related to Special Events
in the Park.
